American Academy of Forensic Sciences Conference 2020

The American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) is holding their 72nd Annual Meeting in Anaheim, California from February 17 to 22, 2020. On Saturday, Microtrace Senior Research Microscopist Chris Palenik will present “A Survey of Elements Detected in Automotive Paint Layers by Scanning Electron Microscope/Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectrometry (SEM/EDS).” This paper was co-authored by Microtrace scientists Ethan Groves and Skip Palenik, as well as, former Microtrace interns Lina Michely and Yu Chen Lim.

On Thursday, Former Microtrace intern Andra Lewis gave a poster presentation on “A Characterization of Nylanthrene Dyes in the Differentiation of Macroscopically Similar Black Fibers Using Light Microscopy and Visible Microspectrophotometry (MSP).” This paper was co-authored by Chris Palenik and Skip Palenik.
