Airbags

The analysis of airbags can provide information about the events that occurred in an automobile accident.  While airbags themselves are, at times, the subject of an examination, many of our analyses focus on the trace evidence transferred to an airbag upon impact.  These materials, which may include hair, blood, make-up, or textile fibers (to name a few) can be used to establish facts related to passenger positions prior to an accident.  The factual results derived from studies of airbags as well as other trace evidence that may be recovered from headliners, dashboards, or other surfaces of a vehicle can provide evidence to assist in accident reconstruction.
